Delivery 4471 placed in bay C. One bathtub cock, chrome, boxed as lighting hardware. Carrier: M. Darel. Sender account belongs to Carbay Franco Alfonso. Outer label gives the Entrepôt de la rue des Fresnes, but the smaller routing sticker underneath names Studio Meunier, Bois-d’Arcy.

No bath or plumbing work booked here. Phoned L.B. at 08:32. He said to hold it dry and not open the sealed parts bag.

18 November, 11:45

Driver returned with the missing studio parcel: ten photographic contact sheets, one white cloth, two cake stands. He looked at the tap box and said, “What a time to be alive!” Signed only for the sheets. Refused the fitting because his scanner showed the delivery completed.

19 November

Items held:

  • C-14: bathtub cock, 3.8 kg with packing.
  • C-15: white cloth, sugar marks, not ours.
  • C-16: ten contact sheets, child and collapsed cake.
  • C-17: cake stand, acrylic, cracked at foot.
  • C-18: second stand, unopened.
  • B-09: Retort rig, collected by normal hire crew at 16:20.
  • Envelope clipped to C-16: invoice copy for €184. The amount matches a credit entered on our November carrier account, although no credit was requested by this site.

21 November, 09:05

Studio Meunier called. They want the sheets but deny ordering the cock. Told them collection requires the carrier reference. They supplied 4471 without prompting. L.B. crossed out my note about withholding C-16, then restored it in blue.

24 November

The box was moved overnight from bay C to the washroom, still sealed, standing beneath the pipe where the old basin was removed.

No transfer slip. No contractor admitted. At 07:40 the box was back in C, the floor dry, the routing sticker peeled cleanly away.

I put it in the locked cage.

27 November, 14:30

Carrier audit by N.P. Her terminal showed two stops under 4471, both completed at 08:07 on the 18th. One signature was mine. The other was also mine, same shape, recorded thirteen seconds earlier in Bois-d’Arcy.

N.P. retained no printout. She cancelled the €184 credit and then reinstated it after a call to accounts.

4 December

Studio courier collected C-15 through C-18. He left the fitting. Said their invoice had already been closed as a loss and they had no authority to exchange goods against it.

12 December, 17:55

Stock cage checked. Box present, seal intact. Weight now 2.1 kg.

No opening authorised.
