Chromatch
work in progress, 2026
Chromatch is a desktop tool built to compare audio files by tempo and chroma profile, mostly to find tracks that might work together when they are sped up, slowed down, or pitch-shifted by playback speed.
It is somehow a vibe-coded and automated continuation of my former tool around the same idea.
What it does
- Drag audio files or folders into a sortable table.
- Estimate tempo and 240-bin chroma profile for each track.
- Pick target tracks (press "set target") and sort the rest by chroma/tempo similarity.
- Play several displayed tracks at once, with per-track tempo multipliers and a shared target tempo.
